BBIX, a subsidiary of SoftBank, and Nextware have announced that they are forging a strategic partnership agreement to utilize the Open Connectivity eXchange (OCX), a cloud-based network service.

OCX is a cloud-based network service provided by BBIX and BBSakura Networks. OCX provides on-demand, highly secure, low-latency, scalable connectivity services to a variety of cloud services and data centers used by customers.

Through this strategic partnership agreement, BBIX’s nationwide, large-bandwidth network and distributed computer nodes, BBSakura Networks’ integrated API-based control, and Nextware’s diverse IT solutions will be combined and promoted for provision to local businesses that are using OCX to solve social issues they are facing. In combination with this activity, both companies will aim to transform digital social infrastructure from a centralized model to a distributed regional model, and promote network clouds to local governments and enterprises to realize regional digital transformation.

Michikazu Fukuchi, Executive Vice President, Board Director and COO, BBIX

We are very pleased to be able to offer OCX in almost all areas of Osaka through our partnership with Nextware. We will strive to deliver higher quality communications to corporate and individual customers by utilizing OCX network services. BBIX will continue to contribute to DX promotion and business growth in various regions.

Hideyuki Sasaki, President and CEO, BBSakura Networks

Like us, Nextware is a provider that delivers the solutions to customers through software, and through this partnership, we will create various solutions through OCX and accelerate DX promotion. We hope to grow together with Nextware by developing the market together as the OCX solution provider.

Takayoshi Toyoda, President, Nextware

By collaborating with BBIX and BBsakura, OCX network service will enable itself to provide information services globally as well as contribute to the promotion of DX (Digital Transformation) and AX (AI Transformation) for customers. In addition, through this partnership, we will contribute to the promotion of DX, and we will create new values and integrate them into society.
