Application Performance Critical as Nations Battle COVID-19

The COVID-19 global health crisis is presenting unprecedented challenges to all of us. It has been an especially challenging time for healthcare workers and hospitals, many of which have seen a massive uptick in patients with limited resources to help them. The combination of increased demand both in patient needs and IT connectivity or even network bandwidth as traffic patterns change drastically is more than these important teams should have to deal with.

We don’t want problems with performance issues or troubleshooting to affect the critical services that medical facilities and emergency response teams are providing, so in conjunction with our partners, Accedian is offering free performance software licenses as well as setup assistance and support to help hospitals during this time. Worries about downtime or degradations in performance for business-critical applications does not have to be top of mind.

But we know this issue isn’t limited to the healthcare industry - it has affected all of us, with many organizations (Accedian included) adopting “work from home” policies to help keep their workers safe. Performance is truly more important than ever. 451 Research even reported recently that 67% of respondents to their Voice of the Connected User Landscape study said they would be “somewhat or very likely to switch brands or providers due to poor performance of an online app or service.” That is a pretty staggering number.

So in this environment where performance is more critical that ever, we genuinely find ourselves an essential service.
