Application programming Interface (API) developer, Apigee Corporation, Friday last week joined the Nasdaq under the symbol "APIC." with an initial public offering of 5,115,000 shares of its common stock to the public at a price of $17.00 per share. The San Jose company which develops tools that help companies support their Internet applications and data, looks to raise $87 million in the exercise. Techcrunch reported that the company opened its counter on Friday morning at $17 per share, briefly jumping to $20 per share before closing at $16.68 on its first day of trading.
