Cloud infrastructure provider, Amazon Web Services(AWS) has commercially launched its AWS IoT service. AWS first launched its AWS IoT beta at the AWS re:Invent conference in October and has invited interested developers to be part of the trial.
The AWS IoT service provides data storing, processing and analyzing for a wide range of connected machines/devices such as cars, turbines, sensor grids and light bulbs. AWS said that once devices connect to AWS IoT’s Device Gateway, manufacturers can set rules for how AWS IoT handles the data they send, and the actions they take when various conditions are met, such as sending an alert when a pressure sensor reports an unusually high reading or a motion detector is triggered. AWS IoT service leverages multiple AWS services such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Kinesis, S3, Redshift, Machine Learning and DynamoDB.
AWS IoT is now open to all customers. It's even easier to connect #IoT devices to the cloud! https://t.co/sATtrqiT3j pic.twitter.com/jVebyXJMUP
