Openet Openet

According to Boingo's Infographic, 70% of Operators will continue investing in WiFi as they expand on their 4G/LTE networks, signifying an increasing demand for the WiFi techology which allows more and more Operators to optimise their networks via WiFi Offload and deliver seamless roaming experience on their data services. The infographic presents an interesting snapshot of the demand and usage trends relating to smart devices and expects the number of devices used globally to reach 20 billion by 2017 while the amount of data transferred to touch 20.8 exabytes monthly by the same year. As more people start accessing data from their smart devices for all their daily needs - from connecting to friends to conducting banking transactions - the need for optimised data solutions and cost-competitive packages will continue drive the market for WiFi services in years to come.
