Nextel Peru Selects Comverse VAS & Policy Control for Digital and Broadband Services

Nextel Peru, a subsidiary of Entel and the third-largest mobile telephony company in the country has selected Comverse for a broad range of digital services and broadband solutions for consumers and enterprises, including managed services portfolio.

Comverse, a global leader in telecom and enterprise business enablement, said that its MultiVAS, which will replace a legacy competitor solution at Nextel Peru, unifies next-generation voicemail, call completion, text (SMS) & multimedia (MMS) messaging and USSD services. In addition, the Comverse Policy Engine will further strengthen Nextel Peru’s competitive position by enabling it to deploy innovative data plans for its Digital Lifestyle services.

"Given the enduring value of the long-term partnership that Entel has enjoyed with Comverse, we were keen to bring the benefits of this innovative portfolio of solutions and professional services here to Nextel Peru. This upgrade enables us to deliver an integrated, personalized cross-service customer experience that meets the evolving needs and preferences of our rapidly expanding subscriber base and positions us to move towards realization of our visionary roadmap for the future.”

-         Nextel CTO Gonzalo Veas

"This end-to-end solution for success – from Comverse’s proven delivery methodologies bringing our rich portfolio of solutions to market rapidly to meet Nextel’s aggressive deployment plans, to our trusted managed services – is designed to stimulate innovation, and delivering operational excellence and exceptional business outcomes.
