Verizon announced that it has finished the expansion of  device testing lab to include new 5G & IoT testing.

The Operator said it has built 13 additional testing rooms to the existing 10,000 square foot test facility in Bedminster, New Jersey. These rooms are packed with leading-edge testing technology that put devices, enhanced 4G LTE features, IoT applications and 5G to the test, said Verizon.

Device manufacturers and partners have access to the facility, working alongside with Verizon's engineers to collaborate on multiple devices to run on Verizon's mobile network.

According to Verizon, the device team has conducted over 1 million tests and has tested roughly 2,500 software and hardware combinations. It also has taken a comprehensive approach to testing. For example, the typical device goes through 1-3 software upgrades before getting approved to be used on the Verizon wireless network.
