Nokia has signed a multi-year patent license agreement with Huawei.

While details of the license agreement remain confidential, Nokia said it will follow its existing practices for disclosing patent licensing revenue in its quarterly financial reports and expects that revenue for the agreement will begin to be recognized in the fourth quarter of 2017.

In July, Nokia and Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi have also signed a business collaboration agreement and a multi-year patent agreement, including a cross license to each company's cellular standard essential patents. Under the agreement, Nokia will provide network infrastructure equipment designed to deliver the high capacity, low power requirements expected by large web providers and datacenter operators.

Huawei is one of China's largest companies and is among the world's leading smartphone manufacturers and we are delighted to welcome them to our family of patent licensees.
