Plexxi, a pioneer in converged network infrastructure, announced today that the company has received a funding investment from GV, Google's venture capital investment arm. The company however, did not disclose the amount of funding it received in this round. To date, the startup has raised around $83 million from several rounds of funding beginning 2010, reported ZDnet.

GV’s investment in Plexxi will enable the company to continue to scale its networking product offerings and company operations to meet the needs of the emerging cloud builder community and drive adoption of software-defined architecture in data centers.
