WAN optimization firm, Riverbed Technology, Wednesday announced the acquisition of Germany-based SD-WAN (software-defined wide-area-network) startup, Ocedo. Riverbed said its integration of Ocedo’s technology will allow the company to expand its SD-WAN portfolio and also help Riverbed accelerate its Project Tiger initiative which was announced in Fall 2015, in which Riverbed plans to bring to market a new suite of application-centric SD-WAN solutions.
Ocedo provides solutions for software-defined branch office networking, with a portfolio of products that include secure gateways, wireless access points and switches, and an integrated cloud management system.
