NetApp, a leading provider of storage and data management solutions, Tuesday announced that it has completed the acquisition of scale-out flash array maker SolidFire. Service providers leverage NetApp for delivery of services such as IPTV, messaging, VoIP, e-mail, and wireless and broadband content.
SolidFire combines the performance and economics of all-flash storage with a webscale architecture that radically simplifies data center operations and enables rapid deployments of new applications. With the completion of the acquisition, customers now have access to the industry's broadest all-flash portfolio to meet their needs for speed, scale and data services. Over time, SolidFire products will be incorporated into NetApp's Data Fabric strategy, delivering seamless data management across flash, disk and cloud resources.
