AT&T's prepaid brand, Cricket Wireless announced a new $70 plan that gives users unlimited talk, text and data in its attempt to compete with T-Mobile's Uncarrier plan.
If customers choose Auto Pay, the operator will be giving away a further $5 credit, bringing the price of the plans to just $65 per month. In addition, and in its bid to lure T-Mobile customers, Cricket Wireless is giving away a $100 bill credit to T-Mobile's customers when they switch over to the new plan. T-Mobile charges $95 per month for unlimited talk, text and data for its Simple Choice Unlimited Plan for one smartphone line on a smaller 4G LTE network, said AT&T.
AT&T's plan, however, does not allow, as part of its unlimited data plan, the use of tethering or the use of smartphones as hotspots.
John Dwyer, President of Cricket Wireless
We wake up every morning focused on giving our customers what they want – more network, a great customer experience, and better plans for less money. Cricket has over 275,000 more square miles of 4G LTE coverage than T-Mobile. And our unlimited plan for a single smartphone line is $25 less a month. More coverage for a lot less money – two great reasons to make the switch.
