Consumers in the UK can now benefit from faster broadband connections after BT today launched its new BT Infinity 1 service offering speeds of up to 52Mbps which is touted to be a faster standard fibre service compared to Sky, TalkTalk and Virgin. The BT Infinity 1 service is available to new customers for £10 per month for the first 12 months on a 12 month contract.

BT said that with the provided speeds, customers can watch their favourite team in UHD on BT Sport whilst other members of the household are gaming, shopping or watching something else on their phones/tablets.

In addition, all BT Broadband customers will have unlimited access to more than five million BT Wi-fi hotspots across the UK, ensuring they can stay connected when they are out and about. In addition, customers signing up to the new deals will also enjoy added security on their online activities with BT Protect, BT Parental Controls and BT Cloud.

We want to give them a faster speed as standard so that everyone in a household can be online at the same time and still enjoy watching their favourite YouTube or HD content without buffering or bickering over whose turn it is.
