AT&T via its subsidiary, AT&T Mobility, Friday announced the roll out of its Rich Communications Services(RCS)-based advanced messaging service and video call to its customers, adding to a series of advancements in voice communications launched by the Operator - VoLTE, HD Voice, WiFi Calling, and NymberSync.

The advance messaging service is now available on Samsung Galaxy S5 mini and Samsung Galaxy S6 Active, with the later also providing the service on video calling via a software update.

AT&T's new advanced messaging allows customers to send files up to 10 megabytes via text. The feature will also show when messages have been delivered, read and when the recipient is typing a response. Video calls in the meantime allow customers to make and receive HD voice calls combined with video without downloading an additional app or having to register for an additional service.
