Three UK claims that its 'Feel At Home' service that was introduced two years back to protect customers from unfairly high roaming charges has saved on average £330 for a customer each year in roaming costs. In total, the operator said that it has saved customers more than £1.3 billion in roaming charges since launching the service two years ago.

According to Three, two million Brits have enjoyed the service in the last two years. In June alone, 538,000 people benefitted from the service, and it is set to continue as more people go off for holidays this August and September.

The 'Feel at Home' roaming plan allows Three's customers to use their phones and tablets abroad at no extra cost in 18 destinations, including Spain and France, the two most popular holiday destinations for Brits.

Three was the first UK network to allow customers to use their phones abroad at no extra cost, to banish bill-shock and improve peoples’ holiday experiences. We continue to lead the way in making roaming charges fairer.
