Cumulus Networks has named Josh Leslie as Chief Executive Officer, taking over from the founder of the company, JR Rivers who will take on the role of CTO. Leslie who served for nearly one year as Cumulus Networks Vice President of Sales, brings a strong track record driving growth for enterprise technology companies.

Prior to joining Cumulus Networks, Leslie ran worldwide field operations at Instart Logic. He also spent six years at VMware where he held roles in sales, operations and business development as the company scaled from $100 million to $1 billion in revenue.

In January, Cumulus Networks which sells a version of Linux for data center networking hardware closed a $35 million round of funding.
