US Operator, Sprint has appointed Tarek Robbiati as the new Chief Financial Officer, taking over from Joseph Euteneuer. Robbiati who has held senior executive positions in large organizations, including as a group managing director and deputy chief financial officer of Telstra, will report to President and CEO Marcelo Claure. He has also served as the chief executive officer at CSL, the number one mobile operator in Hong Kong and as the executive vice president and head of corporate finance for Orange.

Günther Ottendorfer, 46, is joining the company as new chief operating officer for technology. Ottendorfer will arrive at Sprint with more than 25 years of experience leading global technology teams. He previously served as chief technology officer and a board member for Telekom Austria Group and managing director of Optus Singtel in Sydney Australia. 

Also, as part of these changes, John Saw, chief network officer, is promoted to chief technology officer, reporting to Ottendorfer, having made significant improvements to its network under his leadership as chief network officer. 

In addition, Junichi Miyakawa, technical chief operating officer, will become a senior technical adviser in the Office of the CEO and a liaison between Softbank and Sprint for network strategy.
