Wi-Fi startup, Kumu Networks has raised another $25 million in funding that will be used to develop its core product lineup with the company planning to discuss the commercial viability of its technology later this year. The Series C round led by Cisco was also participated by Verizon, Deutsche Telekom and Swisscom.

Kumu Networks develops full duplex WiFi, which the company says doubles the capacity of existing wireless spectrum and enhances LTE connectivity by canceling self-interference. Recently, Kumu Networks teamed up with Deutsche Telekom (DT) to demonstrate a full duplex 5G in a field trial which took place on its local network in Prague, Czech Republic.
