App acceleration startup, Neumob announced that it has expanded its global acceleration content delivery network(CDN) nodes by 23 points of presence to a total of 86, with a massive and targeted emphasis on speeding up app performance in China.

Neumob said it is now expanding that presence to help global app brands gain a foothold in the Chinese market by ensuring fast load times and reduced in-app errors. New acceleration nodes include multiple points of presence in both Beijing and Shanghai, as well as focused additions to its network in Guangzhou, Quingdao and Hong Kong. Neumob has also added points of presence across India, and in Sweden and elsewhere.

Neumob added that as the global app economy explodes to the point where nearly 90% of all mobile usage is spent within apps, it’s become essential for app owners & developers to ensure that their users have a quick, smooth app experience, and don’t turn to a competitor after experiencing slow load times, failed uploads and app timeouts.

Jeff Kim, CEO, Neumob
We see users in China abandoning apps at an unprecedented rate. Not only must apps travel through a government firewall, they’re already loading too slowly on congested 2G, 3G, 4G and even WiFi networks. By working with an app accelerator that is not only laser-focused on the needs of mobile customers, but actually has a distinct presence in the market where their users are, app owners can rest assured knowing they can easily tap into this lucrative, mobile-first market.
