Leaseweb Global, a leading Cloud services and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) provider, announced the launch of Leaseweb Multi-CDN in the Asia Pacific region.

The Multi-CDN technology will combine multiple Content Delivery Network (CDN) providers to increase the global reach of customers and enable Media, Entertainment, Marketing, Advertising, SaaS, Gaming and iGaming providers to reduce latency and improve the performance of their high-bandwidth content, irrespective of traffic spikes.

CDN offering, Leaseweb provides customers with an advanced self-service portal, which empowers users to optimise content distribution through seamless CDN integration, and a unified reporting platform which aggregates and standardises key metrics across CDNs. Customers will have access to 545+ PoPs globally across Europe, Canada, US, South America, the Middle East, Africa, India, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia, gaining unmatched capacity as any spike can be handled using three Global CDNs with intelligent auto CDN switching.

Leaseweb uses a unique optimised strategy that leverages performance metrics in the decision-making process. By stacking CDN providers with a redundant switching mechanism, Leaseweb Multi-CDN intelligently routes traffic, ensuring optimal performance, reduced latency, and enhanced end-user availability. In addition to improved reliability and availability, Leaseweb customers are also able to offload contract negotiation and administrative tasks, saving time and reducing costs.

Pieter Kraan, Managing Director, Leaseweb Singapore

With the ongoing push for digitalisation, increased utilisation of smartphones, and the 5G network rollouts, the market size of CDN is forecasted to continue growing exponentially and the Asia Pacific area represents a huge portion of the global market.
