Huawei has lauched a new commercial software-defined networking (SDN) controller, called Agile Controller 3.0 to strengthen its software-defined wide-area network (SD-WAN) portfolio in the enterprise segment.

The new Huawei Agile WAN 3.0 solution uses the cloud architecture to restructure WANs and designed for Data Center Interconnections (DCI), integrated transport, IP hard pipes, and the all-optical campus. Restructuring cloud connectivity networks with the Huawei SDN-based DCI Solution provides high-bandwidth, low-latency, efficient DCI and cloud-based network resource migration. Bandwidth can be adjusted on demand and routes are optimized intelligently. In the solution, data centers use innovative OXC devices that do not need to connect to external fibers, said Huawei.

In addition, Huawei said that the All-IP Solution bases the soft plane on statistical multiplexing, thereby providing flexible, efficient service bearing. Huawei's innovative IP hard pipe technology isolates a hard plane on the IP network, providing dedicated pipes to ensure reliable, low-latency bearing for key services.
