China Mobile Signs MOU with Starhub and True Thailand to Accelerate Strategic Cooperation

China Mobile, the world’s largest telecoms operator has signed an MOU between China Mobile International(CMI), StarHub Singapore and True Corporation Thailand to accelerate strategic cooperation under its 'Hand-in-Hand Program' (dubbed hi-H Program) framework. .

Under the strategic partnership, CMI will collaborate with StarHub and True Corporation in five major areas. The scope covers device collaboration on research initiatives for mobile network evolution technologies; strengthening complementary capabilities for data business services; enhancing mobile business through global roaming cooperation and information sharing; leveraging network resources to maximize efficiency; and co-developing new business opportunities in relation to innovation and internet of things.

CMI owns diverse network resources to meet the increasing demands of domestic and overseas interconnections for signaling, data roaming and international broadband services. Coupled with the explosion of LTE roaming, CMI has been developing a global Wi-Fi hub for sharing Wi-Fi network resources in order to deliver the best global digital experience in a high-speed data era.
