Huawei GigaRadio to Support Operator's 4.5G Deployment and NB-IoT

Chinese telecoms vendor, Sunday released GigaRadio, its new 4.5G base station solution, which features smaller size, higher performance, and simpler installation during 4.5G Industry Summit on the eve of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016. Huawei claims that the new GigaRadio provides 50% increase in processing capability and 20% decrease in size that will further facilitate the massive deployments of 4.5G commercial networks globally.

According to Huawei, GiagRadio will enable operators to build networks with peak rate of over 1Gbps, providing prime user experience of high definition voice and video. Operators can also open up new business opportunities such as Narrow Band Internet of Things (NB-IoT). Huawei predicts that  60 commercial 4.5G networks deployment for GigaRadio in 2016.
