Taiwanese chip maker, MediaTek has inked an MOU with du to cooperate on the deployment, testing and validation of next generation technologies in LTE, LTE-Advanced, and high definition voice services such as VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling. du plans to leverage MediaTek’s cutting-edge systems-on-chip (SoC) for mobile devices solutions to enhance its next generation devices portfolio and end-users’ experience. Both companies will run lab and field based testings to ensure seamless and fast time-to-market of new devices and technologies. 

The partnership also spans over advanced technologies such as the 5G and Internet of things (IoT).
