Procera Networks, Monday announced the release a new Virtual Experience Probe, eVolution to empower fixed, cable, mobile and WiFi operators to enhance the subscriber experience.

According to Procera, the all-virtual data enablement solution is engineered to deliver intelligence to real-time analytics systems by providing contextual intelligence they can act upon immediately. Rather than simply providing raw byte counts that are delivered by traditional probing systems, eVolution provides a broader subscriber view that enables an operator to take advantage of the intelligence in real-time, for example to offer discount or turbo offers, as well as for customer care problem resolution, said Procera.

eVolution’s base solution enables traditional DPI visibility through Traffic Perspectives, with additional Perspectives available to provide a comprehensive view into Subscriber, Routing, Device, Score, RAN, and Content data. These Perspectives are used to enhance the subscriber-focused data feed even further and give a holistic view of the subscriber experience.

The eVolution data probe runs in VMware or KVM virtualization environments on COTS hardware.

Lyn Cantor, President and CEO of Procera Networks
Network operators need a turnkey virtual probing solution that provides better real-time data to feed their analytics and customer relationship systems in order to deliver a high quality broadband experience to their subscribers.

Alexander Haväng, CTO for Procera Networks
Our ability to leverage our extensive, proprietary application signature library, which includes hundreds of sophisticated encrypted applications, is a clear differentiator for Procera in this market.
