Intracom Telecom, a global telecommunications system vendor, has recently announced that the company has secured a contract to supply small cells wireless backhaul systems to MTS Russia to support the expansion of the Operator's LTE Advanced network. The company will provide the largest operator in Russia with its new mmWave outdoor Ethernet radios, Streetnode™-V60 (6250 PTP) and Ultralink-FX80,
According to Intracom Telecom, the Streetnode™-V60 and Ultralink™-FX80 systems operate in the 60 GHz and 70/80GHz bands respectively and ideally address applications ranging from Small-Cell Backhaul to Macrocell Backhaul and Fronthaul. Both systems provide leading capacity (up to 3 Gbps for Ultralink™-FX80 and 1.7Gbit/s for Streetnode™-V60) and can be deployed easily on lamp posts or walls, as well as on rooftops and telecommunication towers, said the company.
