At the recent EMC World 2015, EMC announced the Project Horizon – a next-generation content platform and apps marketplace – to help CIOs and enterprises drive their digital agenda by making full use of their business data to support and add value to internal decision making as well as external marketing activities. The Project Horizon marketplace will be curated by EMC, including both EMC-built and partner-built apps and solutions.
According to EMC, the Project Horizon is built upon Pivotal Cloud Foundary, the leading enterprise PaaS which supports digital content flows for the digital enterprise. The multi-tenant content platform which promotes a mobile-first, cloud-first approach to managing and using enterprise content, allows enterprises to innovate and consume based on content-specific use cases, leveraging data analytics to automate mundane tasks, and to deliver predictive insights.
In addition to this, EMC also announced that the Documentum Life Sciences Solutions Suite 4.0 and Documentum Capital Projects Express will both be hosted on Project Horizon.
