Qvantel, a front-runner in Digital Business Support Systems (BSS), announced that it has achieved the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Outposts Ready designation, part of the AWS Service Ready Program.

This designation recognizes that Qvantel and Qvantel Flex BSS has demonstrated successful integration with AWS Outposts deployments. AWS Outposts is a fully managed service that extends AWS infrastructure, AWS services, APIs, and tools to virtually any datacenter, co-location space, or on-premises facility for a truly consistent hybrid experience.

Achieving the AWS Outposts Ready designation differentiates Qvantel as an AWS Partner Network (APN) member with a product fully tested on AWS Outposts. AWS Outposts Ready products are generally available and supported for AWS customers, with clear deployment documentation for AWS Outposts. AWS Service Ready Partners have demonstrated success building products integrated with AWS services, helping AWS customers evaluate and use their technology productively, at scale and varying levels of complexity.

To support the seamless integration and deployment of AWS Outposts ready solutions, AWS established the AWS Outposts Ready Program to help customers identify products integrated with AWS Outposts and spend less time evaluating new tools, and more time scaling their use of products that are integrated with AWS Outpost deployments.

Qvantel Flex BSS on AWS Outposts provides a fast-track, agile and secure approach for Communication Service Providers (CSPs) to start gaining the benefits of Qvantel’s innovative no /low code approach to BSS. This enables CSPs to quickly open new revenue streams as well as driving new levels of efficiency. BSS contains very sensitive customer and financial information and CSPs need to ensure that data is being stored and processed in compliance with local laws and regulations on data residency.

Qvantel addresses data residency challenges with AWS by using Outposts rack, which allows CSPs to run AWS infrastructure on premises and in their own data centers. This lets CSPs store and process data in a location of their choosing. An Outpost is seamlessly connected to an AWS Region where it has access to the full suite of AWS services.
