Clouditalia, a provider of integrated telecommunications and cloud services throughout Italy, has deployed the Coriant 100G Optical Networking Solution - hiT 7300 Multi-Haul Transport Platform - to increase capacity and extend the flexibility of its long haul transport network, enhancing connectivity in major network sites, including Rome, Milan, Bologna, and Pisa.

According to Coriant, an industry-leading supplier of dynamic metro-to-core transport solutions, Clouditalia will leverage Coriant’s advanced technology to enhance its end-user service offerings, including fixed and wireless telecommunications, data center connectivity, and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Coriant added that the hiT 7300 solution was selected for the nationwide network expansion for its robust ROADM capabilities, best-in-class coherent 100G, low latency transmission, pay-as-you-grow scalability, and dynamic optical link control for improved network performance and agility.
