Allot Communications today announced that it has secured two orders totaling $5M for Allot Service Gateway - deep packet inspection platform - from a Tier 1 operator and Allot Tera ClearSee Data Source and Allot ClearSee Network Analytics from another.

According to Allot, the Allot Sevice Gateway Tera was ordered with 100GE interfaces and capacity by a new Tier 1 customer to handle very high traffic loads and manage its growing subscriber volume and usage. The same carrier also selected Allot’s ServiceProtector to protect against distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks.

Allot said that the second order was placed by an existing Tier-1 operator for Allot ClearSee Data Source and Allot ClearSee Network Analytics. Allot also pointed out that these solutions will be used to extract and apply contextual marketing promotions across its network to ensure a high quality of experience (QoE) for subscribers using video and other applications.

Gary Drutin, Chief Customer Officer at Allot Communications.
