Spirent Unveils Industry's 'First' Virtualized Ethernet Probe

Spirent Communications, a global leader in test and measurement, last week unveiled Spirent TestCenter Live Virtual Probe, a virtualized distributed Ethernet probe that allows operators to extend performance management to all points of their network and respond to the rapidly changing demands of the new virtual environments.

Spirent said that its TestCenter Live Virtual Probe that delivers active and passive monitoring capabilities for proactive network management gives service providers complete visibility into next generation networks, allowing users to quickly isolate faults. Spirent TestCenter Live Virtual Probe supplements the Spirent TestCenter Live suite, delivering an end-to-end solution with hardware-based and virtual probes for proactive network monitoring and quality of service management.
