Leading Indonesian operator Telkomsel officially launched its 5G service on May 26 to unlock unlimited future potential for the country. 

Telkomsel said it will maximize the use of 5G to present a variety of new digital products and services to further encourage the growth of digital connectivity, digital platforms and digital services in Indonesia as well as the development of future technology solutions such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and the IoT

 

Telkomsel said its 5G will change the way people learn, work, shop, enjoy digital entertainment, and make accessing technology-based health services easier and more efficient. In addition, Telkomsel will also optimize the use of 5G for MSMEs and cross-sector industries such as health, logistics, manufacturing, agriculture, mining, and others, through solutions that can enable new ways of working that can increase productivity and innovation that enable higher productivity and greater innovation

In this first stage of 5G commercialization, Telkomsel 5G services are available at several points in 9 cities, including the Telkomsel Smart Office (Jakarta). Telkomsel 5G services are devices with 5G NSA (non-standalonetechnology that operates at a frequency of 2300 MHz, including Oppo Reno 5, Huawei Mate 40, Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro. Telkomsel said it will continue to expand cooperation with various device partners to provide varied choices for all its customers, including with Apple and Samsung.

The arrival of 5G officially in Indonesia is not only an important milestone for Telkomsel, but also a great momentum for the Indonesian nation in facing a more advanced and promising future thanks to the use of the latest, more optimal broadband.
