Colt Technology Services has announced enhanced integration with Microsoft by providing cloud-optimised, dedicated Internet connectivity for enterprises utilising Microsoft SaaS services, including Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365.

This announcement comes as Microsoft Azure Peering Service has become generally available. Colt is providing enhanced performance through end-to-end routing optimisation and flow prioritisation via its Cloud Prioritisation Service for IP Access.

Colt was one of the network service providers in Europe joining the launch of Microsoft’s Peering Service public preview in November 2019, and from today, Colt’s Cloud Prioritisation Service for IP Access is providing an elevated customer experience by ensuring that Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 flows are optimised end-to-end including the last mile, from all customer’s sites connected via Colt IP Access to Azure.

This enhanced integration sees end-to-end prioritisation between the customers’ branch site and Azure, which means users will benefit from trusted, high-performance connectivity with SLA guaranteed latencies even in the case of congestion at the last mile. Colt also guarantees that no data will go through any third-party IP network, other than Colt’s and Microsoft’s, which helps ensure the offering is secure.
