Nokia Inks RAN Deal with Telenor Group

As part of its network modernization initiative which covers 2G, 3G and LTE across Europe and Asia, Telenor Group has selected Nokia to provide its radio access equipments. The contract, which includes professional services is signed for a period of five years.

Telenor, one of the world's leading mobile operators, with ownership interests in 13 mobile operations across Europe and Asia will deploy Nokia's Single RAN Advanced portfolio, based on the compact, scalable Flexi Multiradio 10 Base Station, which runs different technologies on a single hardware platform to simplify macro radio networks, enabling the fastest rollouts and saving site costs significantly.

In addition, the soution offered by Nokia includes NetAct operation support system, providing comprehensive and consolidated management for all communications networks, and all of Nokia’s solutions are supported by its full range of global services.
