​​​​​The Finnish Government has renewed Telia's licenses for the 900 and 1800 MHz spectrum bands until 2019, said the Operator in a statement.

Telia will be paying an annual fee of 1,1 million euro for the licenses, but the decision to renew the licenses does not involve additional costs. With the extention, Telia can continue offering mobile services with GSM, 3G and 4G technologies on the 900 and 1800 MHz bands.

In May, Telenor and Telia came as winners in the 900MHz spectrum auction held by Norway's Communications Authority, paying a total of 878 million kroner for 2 x 15 MHz spectrum.
