Ericsson, this week announced that it has acquired Sentilla, a provider of IT infrastructure intelligence software to enhance the company's ability to help service providers with automation and just-in-time intelligence support for IT organizations facing new network complexities introduced by mobility and the cloud.

Silicon Valley startup Sentilla develops software for optimal performance, real-time workload management and intelligent deployment of decision-making in complex multi-technology environments.

The company’s capabilities across data gathering, performance monitoring, policy engine and reporting complement Ericsson Cloud Manager and Ericsson Expert Analytics, providing key functionality that supports advanced data center and cloud management solutions, said Ericsson.
