Redmi Note and Redmi Note 4G from the popular phone maker, Xioami are hitting the Indian stores this December. The Redmi Note is confirmed to be on sale from the 2nd of December. The Redmi Note which is priced at Rs 8,999(USD145) was opened for registration on November 25th. The Redmi Note 4G which is priced at Rs 9,999(USD161) will debut later in December and will be made available through Flipkart and Airtel, said Xiaomi via its Redmi India Facebook Page. If the sale of Redmi S1 is anything to go by, Xiaomi fans in India will have to book their device as soon as the sale goes live to ensure that they can go home with their own Redmi Note.
The Redmi Note comes with Octa-core MTK 1.7GHz processor, 5.5-inches HD IPS display, 13MP rear facing camera and 3,100 mAh Lithium-ion Polymer Battery. The Dual SIM Redmi has a WCDMA slot for 3G data and a GSM slot for 2G data. The Redmi Note 4G features Snapdragon 400 Quad-core 1.6Ghz processor, 5.5-inches HD IPS display, 3,100 mAh Lithium-ion Polymer Battery and comes with dual-band support - both TDD-LTE 2300MHz (Band 40) and FDD-LTE 1800MHz (Band 3) and also supports both 3G and 2G connectivity.
Xiaomi said via its Facebook page that it will have more than 100 service centres up and running in India next year. In the run up to the launch, Xiaomi has been running a series of competitions including daily Redmi Note Pop Quizes that give away free Redmi Note devices to lucky winners.
