US-based distruptive MVNO, FreedomPop, which launched in the U.K. last September has debuted its free mobile service in Spain. The company which announced its plans to launch its service in Spain two months back, has promised zero-rating for the popular messaging service Whatsapp, giving FreedomPop users completely free unlimited texting and calling via the app. WhatsApp accounts for more than 90 percent of texting in Spain.

FreedomPop's Free Plan bundle for the market will include 100 MB free data, 100 minutes of domestic calls, Unlimited inbound SMS / 300 outbound text and free roaming to 25+ countries. It also comes with free WhatsApp data traffic, with a fair usage policy of 500MB. The Operator also unveiled three other paid bundles for the market.

100 MB free data / month

100 minutes of domestic calls / month

Unlimited inbound SMS / 300 outbound text

Free WhatsApp data traffic, Fair usage policy at 500MB, exceeded data will be exacted from regular data

Free roaming to 25+ countries

The 1GB plan (4.99 €) which includes

1 GB data / month

200 minutes of domestic calls / month

unlimited inbound SMS / 500 outbound text

Free WhatsApp data traffic, Fair usage policy at 500MB, exceeded data will be exacted from regular data

Free roaming to 25+ countries

The 2GB plan (8.99 €) which includes; and

2GB data / month

unlimited minutes of domestic calls / month

unlimited inbound SMS / unlimited outbound text

Free WhatsApp data traffic, Fair usage policy at 500MB, exceeded data will be exacted from regular data

Free roaming to 25+ countries

The 4GB plan (14.99 €) which includes

4GB data / month

unlimited minutes of domestic calls / month

unlimited inbound SMS / unlimited outbound text

FreedomPop plans to continue its international expansion by launching in additional countries by the end of the year, either by partnering with existing mobile carriers or disrupting entirely new markets via unique models.
