Leading cable broadband provider in Ireland, Virgin Media has introduced what it claims as the fastest broadband service in the country, offering speeds of up to 360Mbps. The fibre-powered service will be available to almost 750,000 homes across the region.

Virgin Media said that customers who select Virgin Media’s new 360Mbps broadband will also receive free calls to landlines and mobile, in 22 countries, all for €30 per month for the first 4 months. There is also the option to add TV and mobile subscription to the broadband bundle. In addition, customers will also benefit from Virgin Media’s recently launched parental control features.

According to Virgin Media, over the past three years, data usage of the Virgin Media network in Ireland has grown by 300% and over the past six years, the figure goes over 1200%.
