Telenor India unveils a new plan that gives its subscribers unlimited video streaming during off-peak hours, 11pm to 7am for as low as Rs2(USD 3 cents) a day from video sites such as Youtube and Dailymotion. To prevent any bill shock if the caching continues after 7am, the customers will be charged at 2p/20 KB with a cap of Rs5 for that day.

The operator is also offering unlimited music streaming from Hungama Music and Eros Now music starting at Rs41 with a validity of 28 days.

According to Telenor India, currently 22% of Telenor’s subscribers use data services on their mobile devices and expect this to grow to over 50% by 2017. The latest offer follows the operator's recent introduction of plans that provide flat rates for access to the two most popular social and messaging applications, WhatsApp and Facebook.

Amaresh Kumar, Chief Product Officer, Telenor India
Our new packs have been designed to offer affordable and value for money access to unlimited music and videos without worrying about volume of data used. With this we reinforce our vision to make Internet services affordable and easy to access for the masses.
