PLDT HOME and Smart Communications have inked an agreement with Fox International Channels(FIC), an international multi-media business belonging to the 21st Century FOX to leverage FIC's extensive content libraries comprising movies and TV shows for their digital content offering. The partnership that follows PLDT HOME and Smart Communications' recent collaboration with Southeast Asia’s leading Internet TV service provider iflix will enable PLDT and Smart Commmunications' customers to access top-line video-on-demand(VoD) content from Fox.
With this latest development, both Operators are able to provide a complete menu of video content options that include VOD and subscription VOD(SVOD) services via Disney, iflix and Fox. Existing users of PLDT HOME DSL can enjoy Fox VOD and top-up services as an add-on option on top of their monthly fees for P99 per month, while Fibr subscribers can enjoy Fox as part of their existing subscription. According to both Operators, FIC develops, produces and distributes entertainment, sports, lifestyle, factual and movie channels in 45 languages across Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
