Hooq, the Over-the-Top (OTT) TV provider that is backed by South East Asia's major service provider, Singtel together with leading movie studios - Sony Pictures and Warner Bros Studios, today announced the launch of the beta version of its premium video-on-demand streaming service in India, which will debut across all major platforms. The service is expected to be offered commercially sometime next month. 

As part of the service, Hooq will be offering to customers unlimited viewing of content from a catalogue of over 15,000 ad-free movies and TV shows, priced at Rs.199 per month. At the same time, the service will allow up to 5 devices to connect to the content, with up to two devices for simultaneously streaming.

To bring the best of Bollywood, Tollywood, Kollywood and other local & regional content to Indian subscribers, HOOQ has partnered with various studio partners such as Yash Raj Films, UTV, Disney, Rajshri, Sri Balaji, AP International, Reliance and Shemaroo. Hooq which has already launched its service in Thailand and Philippines is expected to leverage Singtel's regional footprint, specifically in the mobile space to tie up with mobile operators to offer bundled 3G/ 4G packages to make the service truly unlimited while delivering the highest service quality for users.
