Sprint is making a time-limited offer of one year of free wireless service to DirecTV subscribers who switch over to them. The move is seen as a direct response to AT&T's bundled service offering that combines the cable TV service with its voice and data plans following the company's acquisition of DirectTV.

DIRECTV customers switching to Sprint need to upload copies of their bills on Sprint’s website to get 12 months of unlimited talk, text and a full 2GB of data per line (up to five lines). To qualify, an existing Sprint customer must add a new line of service and both new and existing customers must buy or lease a new phone through Sprint - and that's the catch!
