Warid Telecom, Pakistan's 2G and 4G mobile operator has unveiled shared plans with its entry LTE MiFi plan starting at 15GB for Rs 1500. The operator's WiFi Extra and MiFi Ultra plans come with 20GB and 35GB quota for Rs 200 and Rs 3000 respectively. Subscribers can purchase the MiFi device with an LTE enabled SIM as well as an entitlement to 35GB worth of free internet every month for three months for RS 9,999.

With the MiFi portable wireless router, users can connect up to 10 smartphones, tablets or laptops, to its 4G LTE network in all major cities around Pakistan, said Warid Telecom. Warid Telecom has deployed its LTE service in six cities including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Faisalabad.

The shared plan, which is available for all of its customers can be opted for using Warid’s online portal by logging in with the user's mobile number. Available on both prepaid and postpaid, the plan allows users to choose up to two additional Warid numbers (either LTE devices or MiFi device users) to share an internet data plan with.

Warid Telecom earlier this year announced a 7-day free LTE trial which comes with a 500MB data allowance for all its prepaid and postpaid customers. The operator highlighted that they are the first to introduce shared plans in Pakistan.
