NBC, Tuesday announced the launch of TV Everywhere, a live streaming service of its programming on the web, NBC.com, allowing subscribers to access their favorite shows on all platforms as the network’s shows air. NBC also announced plans to offer the service over mobile devices in early 2015.

The broadening of NBC's TV Everywhere model is a step away from cable and satellite TV service though it requires its subscribers to prove that they have access to the channels through satellite or cable TV service before NBC authorizes the streaming delivery of its content.

Alison Moore, Executive VP, TV Everywhere, NBCUniversal
It's value for your subscription and the value comes from not only just being able to have access to all of our different programs, from our great suite of brands, but also in frankly through your sub ... at a time and place that is convenient to you.
