Rogers Communications yesterday announced the BritBox app, the world leader in British entertainment, is now available on Ignite TV and Ignite Streaming. This collaboration brings a rich tapestry of British storytelling – from classic British mysteries and contemporary dramas to live events and more – to an ever-growing app library, making it easier than ever for Rogers customers to access the ultimate entertainment experience.

Rogers is the first telecommunications provider in Canada to join with BritBox to deliver exclusive British content to its customers with the BritBox app. It is also the first streaming service app to simultaneously launch from coast to coast on Ignite TV and Ignite Streaming since Rogers came together with Shaw. This new app offering builds on Rogers commitment to provide a high-quality entertainment portfolio.

With unmatched British titles, the BritBox app offers an impressive slate of co-productions, originals and fan-favorites. BritBox high-end Originals include the riveting drama, Sherwood starring David Morrissey and Lesley Manville; the must-see biopic Stonehouse, starring Emmy-winner Matthew Macfadyen; the beloved crime drama Beyond-Paradise, featuring Kris Marshall and Sally Bretton; The Confessions of Frannie Langton, from the award-winning novel by Sara Collins and starring Karla-Simone Spence and Sophie Cookson; as well as the crime thriller Payback, starring Morven Christie and Peter Mullan. Recently launched is the BritBox Original co-production Archie, a dramatized limited series covering the remarkable story of the formative years of Hollywood superstar, Cary Grant, starring Jason Isaacs and written and executive produced by BAFTA® Award-winning screenwriter, Jeff Pope.

To get started, Ignite TV and Ignite Streaming customers can simply say “BritBox” into the Ignite voice remote to sign up or sign into the subscription app, then seamlessly navigate the best of British content.
