The largest mobile operator in the US, Verizon is said to be exploring a sale of its enterprise assets which could be worth as much as $10 billion, sources told Reuters. According to Reuters, the move will see Verizon focusing on its core business as the Operator faces stiff compertition from Google's parent, Alphabet and Amazon in the cloud computing segment. The transaction will include Verizon's landline and Internet services business formerly known as MCI as well as its data center unit Terremark, Reuters reported.

Verizon Enterprise Solutions recently announced that it is doubling the size of its cloud footprint in the Asia-Pacific region by adding six locations and two new cloud providers, HP and Verizon Cloud, to the company's Secure Cloud interconnect service.
