Aptilo Networks, a leading provider of carrier-class systems to manage data services with advanced functions for authentication, policy control and charging, this week announced that Paul Mikkelsen has been named Chief Executive Officer, taking over from the previous CEO, Torbjörn Ward. 

Mikkelsen who previously served as Aptilo's Chief Operating Officer has more than 25 years of experience in international telecommunications and IT. Prior to Aptilo, he was Director of Business Development at Axis, where he was responsible for the European market for the Mobile Internet Division. Before Axis, Mikkelsen spent 10+ years at Ericsson where he held executive positions in business and finance at the Stockholm headquarters and in Asia.
