SAP Appoints Jonathan Becher as First Chief Digital Officer, Maggie Chan Jones Takes Over as CMO

SAP, the world's largest maker of business software, Tuesday announced two big appointments to the company's senior executive roles. SAP has appointed Jonathan Becher, a technology and marketing expert who joined SAP in 2007 as the company’s first Chief Digital Officer to lead the company's new digital business unit with immediate effect. Becher will drive the new business unit to expand the company's addressable market through entry into new areas such as content and data. 

At the same time, SAP has appointed Maggie Chan Jones as the Chief Marketing Officer taking over Jonathan's previous role , joining from Level 3 Communications. She has an extensive cloud experience having successfully navigated Microsoft's transition from on premise to a cloud business during her seven year stint where her team also led the launch and implementation of the Office 365 business in the United States.

Jonathan will not only be responsible for building a major new revenue stream for the company, he will also make Run Simple a reality for customers and consumers that engage with us digitally.
