Deutsche Telekom has appointed Christoph Ahrendt to take over as the new Chief Financial Officer for its business customers segment T-Systems from Thilo Kusch who is leaving the company.

In his new role, Christoph Ahrendt will be responsible for both the Market Unit, Telekom IT, as well as Telekom Security. He joined Deutsche Telekom in 2002. Since then, he worked in a number of management positions, including Vivento and the Group Strategy unit. From 2009 to 2012, he served as the Head of the Financial Performance Management unit at the service provider. He has also served as the Head of Finance, Telekom IT from May 2012.

Drawing on a global infrastructure of data centers and networks, T-Systems operates information and communication technology (ICT) systems for multinational corporations and public sector institutions.
